How Spiritual Energy Can Transform Your Life

Spiritual energy is the power to effect inner transformation. This dynamic energy is written all over the New Testament and experienced in the lives of Jesus and early Christians.

It is known in Chinese philosophy and practice as qi and in yogic meditation and practice as prana. Scientists like Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi call it a state of flow.

Meditation

Spiritual meditation is a way to connect with a higher power or discover your life purpose. It can help you to find love, healing and guidance in your everyday life. It also helps you to raise your vibration so that you can attract positive experiences and release fear, stress, and worry.

There are many ways to meditate, but the most important thing is to set a clear intention and stay focused on it throughout your practice. Start by establishing a time of day and location where you can meditate without distractions. Then, settle into a comfortable position that allows you to relax and stay alert.

Cultivate mindfulness by focusing on your breath and bodily sensations, then observe your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs without attachment or judgement. You can also repeat affirmations or mantras that align with your spiritual goals. Or, use visualization to experience a higher state of consciousness. These states are filled with love and compassion and can transform the world around you.

Kindness

The practice of kindness adds sweetness to your life and makes your relationships blossom. The sacrificial nature of kindness is evident in the way it’s often given, such as paying for coffee for the person behind you at Starbucks or overlooking a grievance. It can even be extended to strangers as in Paul’s instruction to the church to “be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as God in Christ has forgiven you.”

Kindness also shows up in old-fashioned good manners such as saying please and thank you, being courteous and waiting your turn. It’s even the spiritual basis of etiquette for treating animals, plants and the Earth with respect and care.

Studies show that acts of kindness raise serotonin and dopamine levels in your brain, which increases feelings of well-being and promotes happiness. The more you act kind, the closer you become to your community and the universe. This is a type of spiritual energy that binds you to the entire human family.

Community Building

When people connect with others who share common values and experiences, they are more likely to feel a sense of community. This helps them build spiritual energy, but it also improves mental health and physical wellness.

When you are part of a strong community, it can help you deal with adversity by making you feel more capable. It can also encourage you to take risks and be more adventurous in your life.

In our interviews, many participants described the role of their spirituality in promoting resilience. Their varied responses included describing important domains of spirituality for resiliency, such as relationships rooted in spirituality, a belief structure and complementary worldview, spiritual coping, and a commitment to spiritual values and practice. When these personal qualities, called spiritual assets, are shared in community, they can spread from person to person. For example, if you demonstrate an appreciation for your neighbor, it may inspire others to greet one another more often.

Prayer

Spiritual energy can help heal and empower people. It can also lift the spirits and provide peace and joy. It can be channeled through prayer to bring hope, healing, inspiration and love.

Many people think of prayer as a communication with God, and it is indeed that. Some pray to ask for God’s guidance on important life decisions, and some pray for a particular person or situation. It is believed that spiritual energy, called prana in Indian philosophy, chi in China or ki in Japan, or mana in Polynesia, is the universal life force and can be transmitted through prayer to heal and change.

There are numerous proofs of the power of prayer, including auras (energy fields around people that can be seen through photography) and a type of meditative prayer known as hesychasm. These proofs often rely on personal testimony or aesthetic imagination, but there are ways to verify them through technology such as Kirlian photography.
