Spiritual Energy – The Vital Life Force Within You

Spiritual Energy is the vital life force within you. It is known as qi in Chinese philosophy and medicine, prana in yogic meditation and practice and is referred to as holy spirit in the Christian bible.

It is a finite resource that takes time to replenish. When you spend your energy on trivial pursuits or negative emotions, you deplete your spiritual reservoir leaving you drained and disconnected from your purpose.

1. Psychic Ability

Spiritual energy is the force that creates all of our psychic and astral powers. Unlike physical energies, such as gravity that requires nothing visible to be observed it is invisible but just as powerful.

This energy allows us to connect with the universe, and is how we receive information from our intuition or sixth sense. This includes things like clairvoyance (being able to see energy), astral projection or being able to travel to another place outside of your body, remote viewing, psychometry or the ability to read energy in objects, telekinesis or moving objects with one’s mind and pyrokinesis or the power to control fire.

People who have this energy also have a palpable goodness, a lack of concern with status and fame, a transparency between their public and private lives and are selfless in nature. They are often able to give back and increase their energy through service to others.

2. Adaptation

Spiritual energy is a key concept in the study of psychosocial adaptation to trauma and sudden-onset chronic illness and disability (CID). Yet, PE remains one of psychology’s most underappreciated concepts.

Research based on Self-Determination Theory suggests that PE is a critical factor in how people cope with stressful situations. Theorists Ryan and Deci have posited that people’s positive energy, vitality and productivity expand when they pursue self-regulating actions that align with their authentic values and interests. Conversely, self-controlling efforts that attempt to control unwelcome realities are drained of these energies and can lead to ego depletion.

The time is ripe for closer integration of sustainability and spirituality, especially among Pacific Island communities that hold strong spiritual and environmental worldviews. This Comment argues that the interconnection of these two concepts can make adaptation to climate change more effective and enduring.

3. Healing

Spiritual energy is the non-tangible force of consciousness that makes you alive. It’s what Jesus called the holy spirit and it was this dynamic energy that he used to heal the sick and transform people.

Our physical bodies hold a vast amount of energy, an aura if you like, which is an egg-like force field of electromagnetic energy. This is a beautiful kaleidoscope of colour and it constantly sends, receives and absorbs energy exchanges with the people we meet and the planet around us.

Healing uses this energy to rebalance the different systems of the body so they can work at their highest frequency levels. This can support emotional, mental and spiritual healing. It can also help with resolving trauma, such as a traumatic event or an inherited pattern of behaviour, that might be causing illness.

4. Intuition

Intuition is an ability that comes from spiritual energy. In Chinese philosophy and medicine, this energy is known as qi, while in yogic practice it’s called prana.

It’s also known as the ‘gut feeling’ that helps us make decisions. It’s that magnetic sense we get when we meet someone new or go somewhere for the first time. That feeling that says ‘go there’ or ‘stay away’. It’s the intuition that helps us avoid bad business associates, find the right partner, and even navigate natural disasters.

Intuition is our inner guiding system and knows things that the logical brain has no way of knowing. It gives a face-to-face view of Reality, while thought chops it up into bits and pieces. This is why ignoring your intuition can be so disastrous.

5. Communication

Spirits can communicate with people through a variety of avenues such as dreams, synchronicity, signs, music and magic. It’s also possible to hear a voice, see visions or get sudden insights that are messages from your guides.

Usually communications from spiritual level friends and guides have to do with fulfilling life plans. A common type of communication occurs when a guide wishes to give the individual a psychological jolt, what is commonly known as a wake up call.

It is best to only speak with spirits that feel warm and good and are familiar to you. You should also avoid tools like Ouija boards or pendulums unless you are trained in using them properly. Untrained individuals are prone to picking up the energies of unwanted spirits and even negative entities.
