Wellness Consciousness

wellness consciousness

Wellness is the ability to achieve flourishing in all desired areas of life-health, relationships, finances, business and spiritual alignment. A strong wellness consciousness is characterized by expanded awareness and embodiment of higher states of Grace.

People with a high level of wellness consciousness are very conscious about their food, movement, sleep and personal space. This leads to a more pleasant and rewarding experience for all involved.

Increased Perceptual Awareness

Perceptual awareness is typically assessed by first-person reports given by participants during a task. These reports can either be explicitly about whether or not a stimulus was perceived (as in the classic inattentional blindness tasks) or indirectly, such as when participants are asked to rate their confidence in their response choices in a discrimination task.

Studies using these paradigms have found that perception is influenced by perceptual load. These effects are independent of task-relevance, intention (whether to detect or ignore a stimulus), and expectancy. They also have converged with results from other types of experiments, such as those that use distractor and imaging paradigms or measure responses to grating orientation using the continuous flash suppression (CFS) method.

Moreover, studies that have provided metacognitive feedback to participants show that their rating of stimulus awareness is independent of their discrimination accuracy. This indicates that both perceptual and metacognitive reports are based on different neural correlates of consciousness.

Better Mood

Healthier moods mean better coping mechanisms and more empathy with those around you. People who focus on emotional wellness find it easier to deal with setbacks, have greater patience and less reactivity.

Emotional wellness is also important in maintaining a good social life. People with this wellness consciousness take the time to reach out to friends and loved ones, whether that’s a quick call or a longer catch-up session.

This wellness consciousness also allows you to understand why you feel certain things, which helps you control your emotions and maintain a good mental state. It’s also a great motivational tool that can help you achieve your goals and feel energized throughout the day.

Better Relationships

In addition to having a positive impact on your mood, being health-conscious will help you maintain stronger relationships. This is because being health-conscious can teach you to communicate with others more effectively and show empathy. It can also help you stay focused on the things that are most important to you and be more self-disciplined in areas like healthy eating and physical exercise.

Spiritual wellness involves finding meaning and purpose in life, a sense of connection to something greater than yourself, and a spiritual practice. This can be accomplished through prayer, meditation, mindfulness, reading spiritual teachings or texts and spending time in nature.

Spiritual wellness can also include developing a spiritual community, practicing compassion and forgiveness, and taking part in volunteer work or community service. It can be a powerful force that helps you to overcome the obstacles of your life and achieve the fullest level of wellness possible.

Increased Productivity

Wellbeing has been linked with increased productivity, independent of whether this is due to direct effects on physical health or indirect influences such as the positive mood that results from good wellbeing. Studies indicating this include Oswald et al’s (2015) experimental study where inducing pleasant emotions (via watching comedy videos) resulted in participants performing better on a task, as well as longitudinal studies which show that greater levels of job satisfaction are associated with increased stock returns over time.

However, it is also important to note that poor wellbeing can reduce productivity by increasing the incidence of absenteeism and presenteeism. This occurs because people who suffer from poor physical health have reduced levels of on-the-job performance owing to their health status, even before they are diagnosed with a health condition.
